A Distinct Identity

Franklin Business and Professional Women (BPW) welcomes women from all walks of life to explore their potential. We help connect women of all ages and skill levels to programs to enhance leadership and professional abilities. Our meetings provide a plethora of learning and networking opportunities.  BPW recognizes that true strength lies in our ability to empower one another. Graduation Ceremony

Scholarships

 Each June, Franklin BPW awards two scholarships: The Velma Smith Dalphond and Jackie O’Rourke scholarship. These scholarships are awarded based on financial need to women 22 years or older who work or live in the Franklin BPW membership area. These scholarships have enhanced the lives of local women who are working toward advancing skills and career through education. Franklin BPW has provided scholarship opportunities since 1953.

Woman of Achievement

BPW honors a Woman of Achievement each October. The recipient of this award is celebrated for being outstanding in her career and providing leadership and advancement to her community. Candidates must be over the age of 35 and living or working in Franklin or a  surrounding community. This prestigious  accolade has been presented to well known pioneers and unsung heroes of Franklin since 1968.

Business Woman Vision

Young Careerist

Every February, BPW recognizes a Young Careerist. The recipient of this honor is a young professional who has accomplished much in his or her personal and professional life. To be eligible to participate in the Young Careerist program, a candidate must be between the ages of 21 and 35 years of age and live or work in Franklin or the surrounding community. This program has been inspiring and encouraging young professionals since 1968.

Camp BPW

Camp BPW introduces youth to fun, educational experiences that are relevant and life changing. This program empowers and prepares them with valuable leadership and life skills. By fostering self-esteem and a sense of community, Camp BPW helps youth to discover their own remarkable potential.
